Click on the picture on the right (taken at the National Dinosaur Monument), and you can see my two grandsons and one of their distant relatives. Not in the picture woud be my daughter-in-law the photographer.

About Me…

 I am a 51-year-old teacher having just finished my student teaching at Cascade View Elementary School in the Tukwila School District. This was a wonderful and richly diverse experience. While I was pursuing a student teaching position, I had hoped to find a school and district with diverse demographics. Cascade View has 84 percent free and reduced lunch. Teaching there was everything I had hoped it would be. As I pursue an elementary school teaching position, I hope to find a similar situation.       

Teaching is a dream that I have had since I was in junior high school. However, this desire was waylaid shortly after high school with marriage, a family, and a great job driving truck for the Boeing Aerospace Company for the last 27 years. Having the amazing opportunity to retire from Boeing at a young age, I went back to school in 1999 to complete this unfulfilled career path. The completion of this goal will become a reality when I reach my objective of obtaining an elementary school teaching position (K-5).       

I believe that life has prepared me well for teaching. I am still married to the same wonderful woman after more than 30 years. Some years ago, she worked as a Librarian’s Assistant in the Federal Way School District; however, she no longer works outside of our home. As such, she will be an integral part of my classroom. In partnership with my wife, we have raised a fantastic family. This experience has helped me develop patience, perseverance, and much knowledge in how to reach, teach, and manage children. As for our children, they have all gone on to college, received degrees, and they are now married and raising families of their own.  As you can see I have been tremedously blessed, and now I am ready to dedicate my time and energies to giving back to the community I live in.
